A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports: • If you're an NBA or an NHL player who hadn't finished his Christmas shopping, Friday night was not the time to hit the mall. Nearly everybody played on Friday night: 56 of the 60 teams in the two leagues saw action. Both leagues had 14 games scheduled, and the total of 28 games is the highest on one day in the history of the two leagues.
