Huston Street's in the big leagues. Sam LeCure's no longer in school due to academics, and left-handers J.P. Howell and Justin Simmons took their 225 innings pitched to pro ball. Nevertheless, the Texas Longhorns again field one of the nation's best pitching staffs, as evidenced by a 2.66 ERA entering the weekend, seventh-best in the nation. Texas continued its hold on the top spot in Baseball America's Top 25 rankings by throwing shutouts in the first two games of its series against Oklahoma. ...
