Arizona angler misses out on state record

Sometimes the biggest problem in dealing with a giant bass comes after the catch. For Ron Casner, a dedicated big bass hunter from Apache Junction, Ariz., his 17.46-pound largemouth taken from Canyon Lake (east of Phoenix) on Feb. 21 looked like a huge feather in his angling cap. Moreover, he stood to make $50,000 by taking advantage of an offer by the TTI Companies for certified state record fish taken on their hooks.
