Within the first couple of chapters of The Complete Wilderness Paddler, I was enrapt with the idea of undertaking a long, remote float trip. The book chronicles the experiences of four men as they floated the Moisie River in Labrador. I was not satisfied with reading about their adventure I wanted one of my own.
