Baseball America Tuesday, March 22, 2005 Some observers chafed when scouting directors voted Baylor right-hander Mark McCormick a preseason first-team All-American following a 2-4, 4.70 season. The junior struggled with his command early this season, turning that chafing into a rash. But it appears that he's found an ointment recently. Entering his weekend start against Texas, McCormick had allowed only two earned runs over his previous 18 1/3 innings.
