Remember the ad campaign that MTV did back in the 80s... "People really win on MTV"? For those who were in third grade at that time or don't recall, there was a series of TV spots promoting the fantastic prizes people could win. Back then, I guess people felt that the newly-formed Music Television Network was staging all these contests and pocketing all the money.
