SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Brandon Gay scored 21 of his career-high 31 points in the second half and Ross DeRogatis added a career-high 28 to lead San Diego to an 87-73 win over Santa Clara Thursday night. Gay played a pivotal role in a 22-8 second-half run that allowed the Toreros to take control of the game. Gay scored 14 points in the run, including a pair of 3-pointers. his second 3-pointer capped the run to give San Diego (15-11, 7-6 West Coast Conference) a 60-52 lead with 11 minutes left. DeRoga ...
