ESPN Insider Wednesday, December 15, 2004 Monday, in an ESPN.com chat, I issued a challenge: in either 12 words or 800, explain why so many No. 3 starters are getting No. 2 and even No. 1 contracts. Only one man responded to the challenge with precision. Travis Anderson: "When hitters ditch steroids, pitching will become even more of a premium."
