Tuesday, December 7, 2004 Houston Rockets: Houston was awarded the 2006 NBA All-Star game on Tuesday, the second time the city will host the league's midseason event. Commissioner David Stern made the announcement with Rockets owner Leslie Alexander and Houston Mayor Bill White at the Toyota Center, home of the Rockets and site of the Feb. 19 game.
