Monday, November 29, 2004 PHILADELPHIA -- Quarterbacks Lang Campbell of William & Mary and Dustin Long of Sam Houston State and running back DaVon Fowlkes of Appalachian State were selected as finalists Monday for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in Division I-AA. Long, the Southland Conference offensive player of the year, has thrown for 3,735 yards and 36 touchdowns with 14 interceptions for the Bearkats (10-2), who play Eastern Washington in a I-AA quarterfinal Saturday.
