Special to ESPN.com Monday, November 15, 2004 LOS ANGELES -- The WTA Tour Championships final Monday night turned out to be quite a match. Maria Sharapova ended the year having won Wimbledon and the WTA Championships, while Serena Williams, after a brave tournament, ended it with a new injury. The match was going so well that when Williams suffered an abdominal injury, it took the starch out of the competition.
