Friday, November 12, 2004 POMONA, Calif. -- Del Worsham set a track record and led the first session of Funny Car qualifying Thursday for the NHRA's season-ending Auto Club Finals at Pomona Raceway. Worsham covered a quarter-mile in 4.737 seconds at a track-record speed of 328.54 mph. Doug Kalitta, Greg Anderson and Chip Ellis also were qualifying leaders. Kalitta led Top Fuel with a run of 4.472 at 328.62 in his dragster. Anderson moved into the lead in Pro Stock, powering his car to a 6.717 at 205.9 ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
