The PGA Tour likes to call it the Challenge Season although it is commonly known as the Silly Season. That's because there is not much at stake, other than big bucks for the participants and major exposure for the venues. It "officially" gets started with this weekend's Franklin Templeton Shootout, previously known as the Shark Shootout, in Naples, Fla.
