BROOKLINE, Mass. (AP) -- Tim Day threw two touchdown passes on Saturday to give Massachusetts a 26-22 win over Northeastern in the first meeting between the teams since Don Brown left the Huskies to coach the Minutemen. Northeastern players felt betrayed and officials were angered by the move, claiming Brown was under contract and the Massachusetts athletic department had been denied permission to talk to him.
