Reggie Witherspoon is a Buffalo guy. Grew up there, coached high school basketball there and coached junior college basketball there. So he knew what he was getting into when he took the coaching job at the University at Buffalo -- first on an interim basis in the middle of the 1999-2000 season, and then permanently.
