Bassmaster Southern Open season begins

COLUMBUS, Miss. — Thanks to Hurricane Ivan, the competitors on the CITGO Bassmaster Southern Open circuit presented by Busch Beer will finally see action in the season opener on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Oct. 14-16. The Southern Open anglers were scheduled to begin their three-tournament season last month on Alabama's Lake Eufaula, but Ivan caused BASS officials to postpone that event until Oct. 28-30.
