Luis Scola scored 25 points and Alejandro Montecchia hit two big 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to lead Argentina to an 84-69 victory over Italy in the gold-medal game Saturday night. Argentina's best finish in the Olympics had been fourth, in 1952, but the team that beat the United States in the semifinals got to stand on the highest platform Saturday night.
