Special to ESPN.com Monday, August 16, 2004 When it comes to recruiting in the ACC, Florida State has controlled things, but with Maryland, NC State and Virginia on the rise and Miami and Virginia Tech arriving on the scene, the times are changing. Most players who can contribute immediately as freshmen are traditionally skill position players, but this year two of my top three players to watch in the ACC are defenders.
