Finally, I wake up early (7:30a.m.!). Happy. A clear head. Smiling. So to make myself feel even better, I call and try to wake my surlier-than-ever editor who has been averaging about four hours of sleep a night. He doesn't answer. I consider pounding on his door and running, but instead I head off for today's assignment—the Love man.
