First baseman has sore left wrist

Minnesota Twins: The Twins activated outfielder Shannon Stewart on Thursday and placed first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz on the 15-day disabled list. The Twins were expected to recall first baseman Justin Morneau from Triple-A Rochester on Friday to take Mientkiewicz's roster spot. Morneau was hitting .306 with 22 home runs and 63 RBIs in 72 games for Rochester.
