EXPN.com Monday, June 14, 2004 Since 1991, skateboarders have flocked to the world-class skate park at the Encinitas YMCA. Three months ago, in order to keep up with current trends in park building, the facility closed to begin a complete makeover for the second time in its existence. Sunday, June 13, the newly renovated park reopened to the public. The grand opening celebration was highlighted by a demo from local pro skaters, BMX riders and local rippers, and the unveiling of the new additions to the park: the 2003 X Gam ...
