Saturday, May 29, 2004 MINNEAPOLIS -- The Los Angeles Lakers returned to Minnesota, hoping to finish off the Timberwolves with some history -- a streak of 12 straight wins in "close-out" games. But the Lakers lacked the tenacity they boasted about the day before -- until it was too late in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals Saturday night.
