CollegeSports.com Wednesday, May 19, 2004 Top 100 center Chester (CJ) Giles of Seattle-Rainier Beach, Wash., who was granted a release from his letter by Miami-Florida, has chosen Kansas and coach Bill Self. Giles, who picked the Jayhawks over Washington and Cincinnati, averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks as a senior. Kansas has gained a major late recruiting windfall with the commitments of Giles; Class 2004 Top 100 forward Alex Galindo of Puerto Rico/Newark-St. Benedict's Prep, NJ., over Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Georgetow ...
