Giles boosts Jayhawks recruiting surge

Top 100 center Chester (CJ) Giles of Seattle-Rainier Beach, Wash., who was granted a release from his letter by Miami-Florida, has chosen Kansas and coach Bill Self. Giles, who picked the Jayhawks over Washington and Cincinnati, averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks as a senior.
