Galindo, Downs headed to Lawrence

Kansas and coach Bill Self have gained a major recruiting windfall with commitments from Class 2004 Top 100 forward Alex Galindo of Puerto Rico/Newark-St. Benedict's Prep, NJ., over Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Georgetown; and touted Class 2005 Top 100 forward Micah Downs of Bothell, Wash., who picked the Jayhawks over Duke and Gonzaga.
