Working in the United States of America as an NHL studio host, I inevitably get asked, "How did you get into hockey?" Certainly, when one grows up in Western Pennsylvania in the pre-cable TV era without any local youth hockey programs, the odds of becoming a hockey fan are slim. It's almost a miracle.
