ESPN.com Tuesday, February 24, 2004 In trying to find the next Jake Delhomme, the Dolphins did extensive research on unproven NFL quarterbacks. They looked at Marc Bulger, A.J. Feeley, Jay Fiedler, Matt Hasselbeck, Sage Rosenfels, Billy Volek and others. After the Dolphins learned they couldn't get Mark Brunell or Patrick Ramsey in a trade, they chose Feeley based in part on his 85.4 career quarterback rating in the fourth quarter.
