Scoring numbers can be deceiving

Does it really matter if Allen Iverson is leading the league in scoring at 27.43 points per game if, between Dec. 12 and Jan. 3, he actually averaged 0.00 points per game as the Sixers went 3-7 in that span to fall to 22-31 on the year and a half game out of the playoffs? With Iverson, the Sixers are 19-24 and, by that percentage, are a half game ahead of Boston for the final playoff spot. But look even closer.
