NBA Insider Tuesday, February 10, 2004 The Indiana Pacers have the best record in the NBA at 38-14. But considering that they went only 48-34 last year with the only major roster move being the subtraction of their starting center, we wanted to know how solid that record really was. We wanted to know how badly they were beating teams and how badly they were losing to teams. Usually, this type of analysis relies solely on margin of victory.
