Trade opens roster spot

San Jose Sharks: The Sharks on Tuesday recalled forward Todd Harvey, who has spent the last four seasons with San Jose but was sent to the minors after a poor training camp. The Sharks had an extra roster spot after trading third-string goalie Miikka Kiprusoff to Calgary on Sunday. Harvey, a nine-year NHL veteran, had been playing at Cleveland in the AHL, where he led his team with six goals in 13 games. Harvey also has played for the New York Rangers and Dallas.
