USC wins even on its bye week

In the harsh and ever-changing race for the national championship, there were three more losers on Saturday. And there was one big winner. Miami, Virginia Tech and Florida State saw any realistic hopes of reaching the Nokia Sugar Bowl fall by the wayside, as all three teams suffered their second loss of the season.
