Head injuries have increased to epidemic proportion around the NHL in recent years. You know the names. Eric Lindros. Adam Deadmarsh. Kenny Jonsson. The list seems to go on and on. Some guys make it back to active duty, while others like Pat LaFontaine, Mike Richter and Jeff Beukeboom aren't so lucky. In some cases, the injuries are sustained in the normal course of the game.
