Wednesday, September 24, 2003 Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres signed restricted free agent defenseman Jay McKee to a multiyear contract on Wednesday. McKee will make $1.7 million this year and $2.2 million next season. The deal also includes a club option for the 2005-06 season that would pay him between $2.3 and $2.45 million if it is picked up by the Sabres.
