Thursday, September 4, 2003 Mercifully for all football fans, the NFL's extended preseason has finally come to an end. What we got out of that extended exhibition season was serious injuries to QBs Michael Vick and Chad Pennington, along with a couple of other nicks and cuts. Oh, yeah, we also saw a lot of games with marginal players as coaches used the final game of the preseason to determine who would make their teams as the 53rd player. Big deal. It still amazes me that the NFL, which is the most well-oiled profession ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
