LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) -- Scott Pendarvis threw for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead McNeese State to a 42-0 victory over Henderson State in the season opener for both teams Saturday night. Pendarvis completed 14 of his 17 passes and was rested at times in favor of backup Ryan Corcoran, who was nearly as effective, hitting seven of 10 passes for 73 yards and a score.
