NHL Insider Tuesday, August 26, 2003 John Ferguson Jr. will become the next general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs sometime this week, whenever the team can find the right time for a news conference. After hashing out contract details Tuesday, the announcement of Ferguson's hiring was delayed because Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment had some other business it wanted to tend to.
