Ferguson Jr. a strange choice

John Ferguson Jr. will become the next general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs sometime this week, whenever the team can find the right time for a news conference. After hashing out contract details Tuesday, the announcement of Ferguson's hiring was delayed because Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment had some other business it wanted to tend to.
