WR Parrish won't start, but will play

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Wide receiver Roscoe Parrish and defensive end John Square will play in No. 3 Miami's season opener on Thursday against Louisiana Tech despite being bothered by knee injuries. Parrish, who is expected to serve as the Hurricanes' primary slot receiver and punt returner, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Aug. 11.
