BOSTON (AP) -- It was the kind of night the Boston Red Sox envisioned when they acquired Jeff Suppan and Scott Williamson before the trade deadline. Suppan allowed two runs over 6 2-3 innings, and Williamson pitched 1 1-3 scoreless innings to lift the Red Sox over the Seattle Mariners 6-4. "To have a guy come and join your team at this time of the season is tough," Red Sox manager Grady Little said. "But that's why we brought them here."
