Parrish tells Coker he'll be ready to play

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Miami coach Larry Coker has not ruled wide receiver Roscoe Parrish out of the third-ranked Hurricanes' season opener at Louisiana Tech on Aug. 30. Parrish, who is expected to serve as the Hurricanes' primary slot receiver and punt returner, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Aug. 11, and has been held out of practice since.
