NFL Insider Monday, August 4, 2003 The Chargers' defense collapsed after they lost their two best defensive linemen to injury, and it finished ranked dead last against the pass. While the return of Marcellus Wiley and Jamal Williams will help, Marty Schottenheimer decided to remake the defense, releasing standout linebacker Junior Seau and reworking the entire defensive secondary.
