Aardsma may pitch for Class-A squad soon

SAN FRANCISCO -- Right-hander David Aardsma, Rice's closer during its run to the College World Series title, signed with the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. Aardsma, the Giants' first-round draft pick earlier in the month, retired 15 of the 16 batters he faced in the College World Series, going 2-0 with a save.
