Friday, May 23, 2003 American League Detroit Tigers: Yesterday we linked you to an article by John Lowe comparing the Tigers to the 1899 Cleveland Spiders. I took the opportunity to also discuss the alarming number of times the Tigers had been shutout. This led to the question, "how many times were the Spiders shut out?"
