Big Ten out to repeat last year's success

After posting a 2-4 bowl record in both 2000 and 2001, the Big Ten bounced back in a huge way in 2002. Not only did Ohio State win the national title, but the conference also won the ESPN Bowl Challenge Cup with a 5-2 overall record. Four of the five teams even won as an underdog. For at least another half year, the Big Ten holds national bragging rights.
