ESPN.com Friday, December 20, 2002 Sex and sports permeate our collective consciousness. In ways that were unimaginable 10 or 20 or 30 years ago, the line between the two activities has blurred, and often disappears. We hunger for sports stories and sex news the way Colonial-era patriots craved the latest Tom Paine pamphlet. And when the two topics are combined, woof! Down, doggie! Progress? Maybe not.
