Special to Page 2 Thursday, October 24, 2002 There have been few recent movies that have spurred as much controversy, and disagreement, as 1999's "Fight Club," based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel of the same title. It featured big-name stars, intense special effects, lots of violence and sex, and some disturbing ideas. And it also featured underground anything-goes fighting. Palahniuk says he made most of it up. But he also wrote in the Los Angeles Times, "For my friends and me, [it] is a nostalgic scrapbook." Guess that means we'll have ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
