FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Nearly everybody in Bulldog Stadium was expecting Bradlee Van Pelt to run for it, just like he had all night. When Van Pelt instead tried to throw on the biggest play of the game, Fresno State was surprised -- and then thrilled when Colorado State's remarkable quarterback finally failed at something. Freshman Paul Pinegar passed for 184 yards, and Fresno State batted down Van Pelt's pass on a 2-point conversion attempt with 50 seconds left as the Bulldogs up ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
