Monday, August 19, 2002 No matter that he's had more minor league bus rides than pass attempts -- the Tigers are counting on QB Matt Mauck to guide them to the SEC championship. Hey, he did it last year, right? Mauck, a 23-year-old former Cubs farmhand, came off the bench to earn MVP honors in the SEC title game by rallying LSU past Tennessee, 31-20. The game-saving performance gave Tigers fans hope for life after Rohan Davey. Mauck runs much better than Davey, but he needs to be more consistent throwing the ball. "Ho ...
