No one is more evident of a statement like that than Dayton Bombers right-hander Bobby Basham. The 22-year-old Basham, who was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the seventh round of the 2001 draft, has thrown three consecutive complete-game shutouts, equaling a Midwest League record.
