Fast greens equal slow play at Open

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. -- Pace of play has always been an issue at the U.S. Open, where ankle-high rough and lightning-fast greens can turn professional golfers into weekend hackers. Four-and-a-half hour rounds can easily turn into five or six hours with more time spent waiting and watching than actually playing.
