Wingo: Democratic game FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2002 Extra Point -- Trey Wingo (morning): "The great thing about the U.S. Open is that it's by far the most democratic of all of golf's majors. The Masters is run by men in green coats, the British by the Royal & Ancients and the PGA by the professionals. The U.S. Open is about as American as apple pie.
