Aug. 20, 1915 The struggling Cleveland Indians need money so owner Charles Somers deals star outfielder "Shoeless" Joe Jackson to the Chicago White Sox. In exchange for Jackson, who is hitting .331 and for the past four seasons has batted between .338 and .408, the Indians get outfielder Braggo Roth and two seldom-used players, outfielder Larry Chappell and pitcher Ed Klepfer.
